I personally am a member not just to get the Journal, though I thoroughly enjoy getting it. I support the NRG as an organization for what it gives to the ship modeling community. I've gotten loads of inspiration and information from the NRG over the years and paying my yearly dues is just a way to give back a little, supporting the NRG in the same way I've donated to MSB and MSW. And, once in a great while, they hold a conference out West and I get to go and talk shop and learn more interesting stuff there. Clare [ Edited Thu Apr 18 2013, 02:36am ]

Being an "international" member, it's actually $50 (to cover the extra postage costs), and for that I don't get to attend any of the "events" either! Still, like I said, I like to support those who support me, so I see it as just like a donation to MSW. And I get a nice quarterly magazine to boot! Cheers, Grant

Was searching for information on the value as a reference of the book “The Art of Ship Modeling”. Anyway, having considered joining the NRG for some time now and today decided to start my membership. One of the reasons that got me off of TDC was discovering that the current issue of the journal, among other things, also has the article “A Trio of Modifications to the Jim Byrnes Table Saw” by Steve Wheeler. Since that saw is my bread and butter, love it, decided now’s the time. Thanks Chuck for your posting about the “new” NRG. ![]()
