After I scanned the page, I printed it to see how much the image size changed even before I did anything. Then I eyeballed the reduction on screen and reprinted. It worked out that the original 1" on the plans became 7/8" on the reduced print so I guess that would be 87.5% of the original. If you go by the kit sizes, the original plan is full size (I assume) for the largest size kit 135mm. My kit is 122mm so the reduction based on that is 90.4%. I don't think I could recognize a difference of 2.5% for bending of the wood. | ||

After the sheer rails were glued in place, I ripped them out because I found gaps between the ribs and the rail; which you can’t see in the pictures. Not good; I did it over.![]() ![]() | ||

Additionally I installed the garboard planks and the planks next to it but not until I did that twice. It’s not perfect, but it’ll do. All of this was going on while I had my problems with the Rattlesnake’s mast tops (see log). Boy, was I having fun!![]() | ||
