One of the things I like about these forums is the fact that there are so many ways to approach a problem or build a model. I learn from all of them. Looking forward to this weeks progress! Gary

Like Gene says it doesn’t matter which method you use as long as you have fun and like the finished model. I have used both methods and they work equally well I like to add trenails on each side of the joints. I like to use 20 gauge brass or copper wire because it is faster that making bamboo ones. You are off to a good start just stay with it. Mike

It's easy to poke fun and other such stuff. I hope that mods step in and remove said posts. Good Luck and enjoy doing it your way. Later Tim

The closing comment is uncalled for. I've seen quite a few comments from people saying they don't like the site because of such posts. There are plenty of helpful people over there, it's the odd one or two that create that impession. I certainly wouldn't let it put me off, I also would continue to do it myway and I'd cross him off my Christmas list.
Constructive criticism is a different matter, I'll take all of that I can get.

Look, listen and read everything thing you can and then do what works for you. Ultimately you are the one that has to be happy with the results. Don't take to heart anyone's comments online. Words mean different things to different people. More often than not they are meant to be helpful. Just try to read between the lines, get the message they are trying to get across to you and if it's useful to you make use of it. If not, move on.

I truly believe that if people take their time to vent before engaging in written communication they will be able to express themselves in such a way as to avoid misunderstandings.

I was able to buy more timber and finish my jig for her reusing materials for the jig I made for my Vietnamese Junk. Since she is only a cross section, the jig seems small in comparison to jigs other people use while conducting full builds. The following photos will show you what it looks like and how the Triton fits within it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() [ Edited Sat Feb 15 2014, 03:40am ]
