![]() Registered Member #105 Joined: Wed Jul 15 2009, 12:01pmPosts: 3560 | this began over in the Alvin Clark build log but I thought a topic on the subject might be better here the question is why doesn't the push/pull work on imported DWG files and do you need to trace over the original. ![]() here is the original DWG drawing and it will not pull ![]() I erased the bottom line then redrew it from end point to endpoint and connected the piece as an object ![]() notice when I drew the line the area now turned a light blue this will now move on the Z ![]() After I pulled it up notice the gear cut into the knee and the little handle also cut through. So you need to edit your original drawing to create your 3D image. the cause sometimes is in tiny breaks in the drawing ![]() this will not push/pull because the lines at the keel notch have a leak they don't connect, same with the top timber the line does not join ![]() on this one the line joining the top is missing and down where the keelson sits the line is offset and does not connect. all in all this is a tedious job to build a 3D model but the more you play the better you get and the better you get the more fun it becomes. | ||
