I find that I have not been able to keep them as lined up as I would like as well as remembering how to tie my knots to finish off each deadeye. If someone has some suggestions on the proper way to finish off the knots I would be thankful if you could pass that information on to me. I think it might take some practice to make my lashings look that good. I was also interested in an example of how to do the seizing but I did find an example of whipping or seizing in The Marlinspike Sailor by Hervey Garrett Smith that would work. Thanks again for the diagram as I have printed it out to use as an example. | ||

![]() Registered Member #4381 Joined: Tue Feb 18 2014, 03:06amPosts: 18 | I worked 5 years on the Morgan restoration. 3 on board replacing frames and ceiling planks in the hold also spent 2 years in the rig loft doing the rigging for the 38th voyage. i have thousands of pictures i took during the restoration if you need references. some constructive advice. you chain plates are not quit right. also the lanyards are tarred. the rigging diagram that was given to you is accurate. I make my chain plates out of brass rod painted black. i have a pic of the chain plates being installed on Morgan if you like | ||
