If you're planning on putting it in water, i would go with the epoxy but if it's just going to be a static display model, I'd go with the Humbrol paint. Take care, Bob http://www.osbornmodelkits.com/ I´m going to fibreglas the hull as it will be in the pool

So much sanding... quite therapeutic. I have some gaps to fill, i suppose this should be done before varnish, paint and fibreglas? What do you think the best filler would be? I have some regular wood filler in about the right colour... i´m also meant to paint in the caulking lines on the deck... that does not look like it will be fun, masking or not... ![]() ![]() [ Edited Tue Oct 13 2015, 04:20pm ]

This will temporarily darken the wood and hide any small gaps. From the look of your pictures I do not see any large gaps. I would only use fill where paint will be applied and only after the first coat making sure not to fill in any grain of the wood surrounding the gap or it will show up. Test on a scrap piece of wood first to make sure you will be happy with the results. Todd [ Edited Wed Oct 14 2015, 12:50am ]

Then lightly sand with the grain. On future builds, darken the edge of each plank first before glue with a soft lead pencil. Works like a charm. G
