Upon loading the Brig plan in adobe photoshop, i've noticed something which trigger my attention, the distance between perpendicular indicated between white vertical line in the screenshot, it measure 59 inches. I've used the measurement tool in adobe photoshop to calculate the distance in inches. According to the practicum, we should resize the image, the size of the ship is 117,25 feet between perpendicular and in 1:48 we should obtain 29,3 inches between perpendiculars. Which means that i should downsize that image instead of upsizing it. Am i misinterpreting the plan provided in the project section? Any help on how to proceed to a resize to 1/4 scale? ![]()

I have no recollection though if the plans where increased or decreased in size. Regardless of what their current size is, you are correct in your calculations as to what it should be between the perpendiculars so I would resize them based on that measurement.

I'm not autocad proficient nor i have the tool (expensive), but i have a free alternative called freecad. Note i use a Macbook pro for my diagram. I'll post my question in the CAD section in case anyone uses freecad But i will also try a test print to see if the size is correct. Thank you for your response.
