Just for the stations for the Roebuck I had to create 112 folders to cover every frme for the flats. That isnt counting the handful of cants and Hawse frames still needing made. so there is 112 frames counting the double frames and each frame with floors and futtocks and chocks will take 9 parts for a grand total of 1,008 parts I will eventually need to make just for the flats frames. plus for each of the 112 frames I will have to spend time drawing all the inside parts for the frames which will take me probably 4000 years lol. so to do just 1 ship this style will take a looong time. once the basic framing is finished the rest goes pretty fast attaching a little visual of the station folders ![]()

He showed us a quick method of getting the shapes and bevels of the bow timbers. he used a dense foam material and filled the bow solid. Then he shaped the bow and removed the finished bow piece then cut that into all the timbers. Now all he did was use these patterns and traced them. I did this on both the General Hunter and Caustic models. At the club we called it the snow bow because bon Bruckshaw came up with this idea shipwrights waited for winter and packed the bows with snow and poured water on it. When it froze to a block of ice they removed the ice bow and cut it up into patterns. I think Bob was telling tall tales but I seems to be a workable idea. I will look back in the archives and see if I can find pictures of this process because I remember we did it when the club built the Alvin clark model for the museum

I still have several problems to overcome on the stations but when I get there I will show how to easily get the proper bevels. and later how to get the bow pieces because in 3D cad you can just loft the piece and then extract the shape
