As far as I know, one was built in 1750 and she was involved in a duel with the British frigate Arethusa. The other was built much later and she did bring back Napoleon's remains to Paris. I built LBP 1750 from ANCRE's plans and you can take a look in MSB's forum "Completed Models". Here is the link to the later build of 1834. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_frigate_Belle_Poule_(1834) Keith.

You have a very interesting way of displaying your sails and like you say none of the deck details are obscured. I on the other hand like to see a sailing ship under full sail, I will elevate the stay sails between the Mizzen, Main and the Fore mast. You have made an excellent display of your sails and I must congratulate you for a job well done. Regards Lawrence

I am an admirer of the French modeler Bernard Frolich and so copied the way he shows some of his ships. I am no sailor, but it is obvious bringing a frigate to rest and putting out boats must have meant shortening sail, backing the yards and men hauling on ropes--in unison. I like your Oliver Cromwell very much. Keep going. Keith.

Yes one of these old sailing ships sure made a lot of work for the sailor and they could be called out at any hour and may-be for hours on end especially if the weather turned bad. I do like your sails setting they have a lot going for them and so much of the deck detail is very visible. Well Done Regards Lawrence
