I have to see if I can't just sand them smaller maybe carefully with the dremel. The whole workings is not glued on thank goodness. It is fairly minor anyway.

Your ship look superb Robin Really master work you impress us with your Bluenose but now you are surpassing yourself with the Syren I owe my Bluenose to you guys Charles. You all gave me so much help and advice. Now I have a lot more confidence going forward and using the Pear has really helped also. Again with help from my friends ![]() a Canadian site featuring some awesome kits. I picked up the Master Korabel boat kit which I will try and resize the plans to do the boat for the Syren. But I also have this coming for a future build. I couldn't resist and it should be a really fun build and a little different style or type of build. Not sure what to call it as it is not really POF or POB but a bit of both. It looked to much like a red dresser drawers so I have redone it with one in oiled pear wood and it is a lot better. I went with a much simpler design, on the top I made a mount and added the kit bell, but I may swap it out for a brass bell at a later date. I also added a compass using a thin slice of some brass tube. Then I reshaped the block ends of the pumps crossbar and cleaned up a couple area's. Cheers ~ ![]() ![]() ![]() I do not know if the binnacle and companionway would have had tar between the board seams, anyone know if that was the case or not? I did them with it...

Just had a thought. Maybe it is mounted on what looks like a hatch coaming? If so, must have been awkward rotating it? Keith. [ Edited Tue Nov 10 2020, 06:23pm ]

Yes Keith I agree it is in a very awkward spot, but that is how they have it on the plans so who am I to argue ![]()

I just received the boat kit by master korabel which I am going to scale up to 1/64 and build if I can manage to cut the pear which is anyone's guess. I think it will look wicked on the gallows. As well I started in on the pin rails for the fore mast. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
