The dowel for the bowsprit is slightly under the 1/4 inch dia called for but I filed the top rail so it fits in nice and snug. At the bowsprit bits the dowel is squared to fit. With that ruffed in I figured out the cannon shot racks. Since I upgraded the carronades and cannons I am using cannon balls I purchased from Caldercraft Part # 85992 - 2.5mm.
