![]() Registered Member #1563 Joined: Fri Apr 08 2011, 08:15pmPosts: 146 | Before I started this build I knew nothing about PT Boats, & had never done any scale metal work , still a big learning curve on both . So Torpedo tubes , the back cradle of each tube rotates , on page 14 of the log I posted training gear & drive screws they are located on the forward cradle of each tube they could crank the tubes outboard for firing the drive screws had stops on them so the tubes would be aligned differently forward to aft, when stowed they were cranked all the way inboard almost in alignment with each other![]() ![]() | ||

At this scale detailing has its limits, the working space in tiny, & you can only do so much fabricating parts. Following the weapons blueprints I got it as close as I could. ![]() ![]() | ||

As master model builder Gene Berger is always telling me “anything worth doing is worth redoing “ I did not like the first trigger assembly So did it again, Sometimes you have to use a few 3D parts , however working around 3D printed parts at this scale is very fragile, so I combined scratch built with 3D one a better look & 2 I really broke up the original parts.![]() ![]() ![]() | ||
