![]() ![]() Registered Member #5759 Joined: Sat Sep 19 2020, 03:36pmPosts: 534 | Usually the 'stay' and 'preventer, in this case the fore topmast stays, both run forward to the Bees just behind the bowsprit cap, pass through the the bees, one either side, then ran aft along the bowsprit on either side and were set-up with hearts/deadeyes and a lanyard to an eyebolt or other fixing in the bows. One eyebolt either side of the bowsprit bed, so that the lines remained parallel with the bowsprit. It may be beneficial to invest in a couple of rigging books of this period - 'Rigging Period Ship Models' by Lennarth Petersson is commonly suggested.
